‘Volume 1, by DEAD FERVOR Review

Dead Fervor were formed in late 2017 in Jackson, Wyoming (USA). In their relatively short career, they have already shared the stage with some of metal’s heavy hitters, such as: Cheap Trick, Queensryche, Skid Row, Quiet Riot, Theory of a Deadman, Zakk Wylde, and Dizzy Reed of Guns N Roses to name a few.

Their new album is titled Volume 1 is a masterpiece of hard rock/metal with some interesting styles being blended into the mix, such as Country, some Glam metal, blues, a hint of punk and some classic heavy metal for good measure. Dead Fervor have produced an album that reflects on the roots of Rock and Metal, with classy guitar riffs, awesome solos and with the rhythm section creating a solid structure. I particularly like the way that no song has the same vibe, each track has its own identity and distinct sound. Some tracks have an old school Deep Purple touch to it, whereas others have a mid 80’s Maiden vibe or on the scale of things there are also tracks with hints of Funk. Vocally, Dead Fervor have certainly got the right man for the job, his vocal cords have no boundaries!

It is very rare that I review a band that is so diverse that I can’t quite put a label on their style, Dead Fervor are pure and simple a pure kick-ass rock and roll band of the highest order, and if they were around in the ’80s would surely have reached the status of the greatest metal acts such as Judas Priest, Ozzy etc. Definitely a band to watch out for.
